    Given how often vegans do a LOT of research on what they eat to prove it's a healthy diet... yes there are disadvantages.

    There are a lot of really good vegan bodybuilders. To get adequate protein, you are going to need to rely pretty heavily on vegan supplement powders but you can certainly develop a great physique being vegan.

    Just make sure to supplement with vitamin B12. There are no vegan sources of vitamin B12 so vegans need to supplement with it.

    it is harder as a vegan to get in calories and protein

    much easier as a vegetarian or a pescetarian

    It will be more difficult but genetics play a major role as well when it comes to getting big.
