Gaining LBM

im a little confused over carbs in the day regarding gaining lean body mass only - i dont want to gain fat but want to maintain a steady rate of increased muscles and hardness - so my question is this - i know i need some carbs in my diet so how much and when ? do i eat them in the am, lunch, pre workout, all, none, some ? any honest opinions out there from those who know - i usually only have carbs at lunch (oatmeal) then with my post workout shake and some with dinner - it generally works out to about 200grams per day with 300 grams of protein at the time

thanks

I think a lot of guys will agree that it's pretty hard to put on some lean mass while keeping off the fat.

200g of carbs and 300g of protein is barely 2000 calories a day.
Personally, i couldn't even maintain my bodyweight with only 2k a day. To put on weight, I've got to eat twice that, and sometimes even in the middle of the night. I just worry about taking the bodyfat off later.
