You likely do not need more than 1g/lb of protein unless you are on androgens or doing a ton of exercise (like a triathalon or something). Studies only support about .8 g/lb.

As for carbs, pretty much the more you eat, the more muscle you will gain. Their will be a point where this also causes unacceptable gains in fat. But, you do have to overfeed to maximize muscle gains.
 
yes be careful... to many carbs and they will get stored as fat... you are better off eating no carbs at all for 5 days and then carbloading for 2 after to juice up your muscles and then go back to no carb again in a cycle
 
I am going to ask you what I always ask everyone with similar posts. What are you stats? weight, approx. bf% (body fat %),height... goals?(loose weight, gain) ..time frame?
