Excerpt: I had a lunch date with a chick over the weekend and we went to an italian place in town. I had some pasta and bread sticks, lots of carbs. Then I went to workout a few hours later and was sluggish and lethargic. I thought I would have energy from the carbs but it was the opposite. Can you explain why this happens?

    I had a lunch date with a chick over the weekend and we went to an italian place in town.
    I had some pasta and bread sticks, lots of carbs.
    Then I went to workout a few hours later and was sluggish and lethargic. I thought I would have energy from the carbs but it was the opposite. Can you explain why this happens?

    thats terrible dont eat heavy carbs preworkout
    if you just want carbs go with 1 cup oatmeal 3 eggs before you train

    eating bad foods like this stresses your body out
    working out stresses your body out

    so of course you are going to feel like shit. eat healthy especially ahead of a workout

    Too much carbs before training may cause energy loss during training

    I would say overeating and to many carbs was the reason for that

    If you overeat your body is going to be focusing on digestion for a while instead of the training you are doing.
