eating a Mediterranean diet

I've been reading up on the Mediterranean diet and it seems like it is high in good fats like avocado's, olive oil and some fish. It also is heavy on fruit and veggies as well. Has anyone ever tried this type of diet and if so what were your results on doing it? I am looking to improve my heart health and seems like it is a good one.

I just eat and count calories. I don't pay much attention to macros unless I'm trying to get to a really low bf% but I really don't have a need for that anymore. I try to stay at 12% year round for overall health.

it’s an amazing diet with so many benefits, but not my cup of tea

It's one of the healthiest "diets" (it's not really for losing weight, if I remember right) along with Japanese cuisine. People who eat those tend to live the longest.
