Does the consuption of protein (in high amounts), such as the protein found in eggs whites and various meats such as, chicken, pork, fish, or red meat cause a reversal effect and increase non lean mass?

thanks

Hi. I'm not sure if i understand your question.
If you eat too much (above your caloric needs) not creating a caloric deficit you will gain weight no matter what you eat. This is valid for protein as for any other nutrients.
So, if you eat too much protein you will gain fat.

If you eat excess protein your body may convert some to either glucose or fat. If you eat above maintenance calories, you will store more fat than you mobilize, increasing your fat mass. If you eat below maintenance calories, you will store less fat than you mobilize, decreasing your fat stores.

One of the benefits of a high protein diet is the thermic effect of protein, which is the highest of the macronutrients. Also, the metabolic cost of protein being deaminated and going on to be stored as for or used as glucose is high. Nevertheless, excess kcal from protein will be stored as fat.
