dextrose alternative recommendations

what do you guys take as dextrose alternatives? any supplement in particular that you can recommend? thank you.

First question is - why do you want to supplement with dextrose? If you want to gain mass, then you should rather go with a good whey protein, as it will at least allow you to gain some clean mass, and not fat like with dextrose. Besides, it is much healthier.

If you are looking for something that would sweeten up things for you, stevia is a much better alternative.

don't buy into the BS marketing that you need dex after a workout.

it is even worse than you need a protein shake after a workout

the reason guys take dex with shakes after workouts is cause they are slamming themselves with insulin. in your situation you simply do not need it and it is counter productive for you! it is an example of why you shouldn't listen to bro science in the gym

Dextrose is glucose. It's sugar. It actually has a higher GI index then regular table sugar.

What are you using dextrose for? That old myth that you need to spike insulin levels post workout is total bro science. That only applies to people using insulin.

The best carbs to include in your diet are low GI complex carbohydrates like brown rice, oatmeal, sweet potato etc.

Don't bother with dextrose. It is just pure sugar. I just go home and eat a meal. If you were in a huge rush then just get a protein shake in.

Does insulin work? Yes. Absolutely. No one will deny that.

However unless you are running high dosages of HGH with it, you will most likely just get fat off it.

Remember that insulin is anabolic to BOTH muscle and fat cells.
