Welcome to the EliteFitness.com Bodybuilding Site! Please join this discussion about Cottage cheese over casein ??? within the Diet & Bodybuilding category.

Excerpt: a friend of mine suggested to me that it is better to have some cottage cheese before bed rather then have a protein shake (casein). Just wondering what everyone's experience and advise is on is subject. Thanks in advance

Re: Cottage cheese over casein ???

both are wrong. you want to eat no more than 2 hours prior to bed

the worst thing you can do is make your body process food while you are trying to sleep. it not only will interfere with your sleep patterns but it actually will PREVENT your body on focusing on actual repair/recovery

so you are actually SLOWING recovery!

the supplement companies started pushing casein before bed to make $$$
Now taking clients for 1 on 1 consults via skype. contact me I can help you

Real food is definitely superior, but you want to avoid eating right before bedtime.

It's not a good idea in general to eat before bed
