CKD and Diabetics

Is a CKD (or atkins) diet ok for diabetics who use insulin? Also can a CKD (or atkins) diet lead to diabeties or insulin dependency?

I'm not asking this for myself, but rather for a friend of mine.

what type diabetes?

if its type 1 u HAVE to take insulin.

if its type 2 then dont use insulin when doing ketosis diet. youll gain fat! but if he took out the insulin(talk to your doctor first) your blood sugar should stay in the normal range. and your not on insulin.

and no low carbs can cause u to become diabetic. it reverses it!
im diabetic and use low carb with oral pills to control my blood sugar. my doctor even told me to do atkins! and hes top endo. doctor in my area. i would say atkins(low carbs) is the best way for a type 2 diabetic to control his blood sugar.

Most Type 2 diabetics can benefit from Keto diets, but make sure your friend works with a doctor to get off of the insulin.
