Hello just a quick question.... I am over weight at 250lbs 5'10 I just started training and I decided I just want to bulk

what I need to know is if you are over weight do you still need to eat around 4k calories a day? could your body use fat and energy?
 
You can gain muscle mass while you shed fat. I've gained 15-20lb of muscle over the past 7mo. Primarily probably muscle memory however using the diet shown on this sites main page you can stay anabolic and still loose fat. Especially since your fat is probably already at a high % you will drop 20-40lb in two months... when your body is ready for it hit the heavy weights.. none of that low weight high rep crap.
