The best way I have found to stick to a diet (aside from pure willpower) is to allow yourself reward meals. For instance you tell yourself that if you follow the diet EXACTLY for the next 6 days then you can have anything you want for the seventh day without feeling guilty. A more sucessful version of this is to allow yourself a cheat day (or meal) where you allow yourself all of the low fat, high carb foods you desire. This is better for you and your weight loss goals than an all out, high fat cheat day/meal, but requires a little more restraint (unless you on a CKD).
