Sucrose is a glucose molecule connected to a fructose moelcule. 50-50 of each after it is broken down. Typical HFCS is 55% fructose 45% glucose. Not much different.
i would not encourage anyone to consume sugar regularly as well.. sugar should be kept to a minimum as much as possible..

the problem with HFCS like you said is that it is in everything, even things that people eat that aren't even sweet.. so they are getting sugar when they aren't even meaning to get sugar. that lays the problem.
