the movie tried to combine too many things w/o explaining them, should have just focused on gotti

out of 22 capos, 14 were arrested and jailed during gotti's reign...hence, he exposed everyone to surveilance by forcing them to meet at his social clubs.
peeps police had never even heard of from other states were forced to attend, wrecking their secretive game.
he's not looked upon very highly...his funeral lacked the pizzazz accorded other legendary wiseguys such as carlo gambino or raymond partrica.

Your correct. The capos and Carlos Gambino had strict rules govering the use of language and where they had there meetings. Gotti broke the mobs golden rule by forcing all mob business in the public eye.
