I'm interested in buying free weights and dumbbells for my garage, but I don't want to get ripped off. Do any of you know about any websites that sell free weights and dumbbells for discounted or wholesale prices?

What should I pay?
How much is too much?
What brands should I look into?
Are Hex weights a descent brand for starting a garage gym?
Should I buy a set or buy individual pairs?

Your probably better off just going to a sporting goods store and buying them there. Weights really aren't that expensive.
