Tracking down an IP?

There have been numerous attempts to hack into my computer by IP 192.168.01

The latest were via trojan horses and portscan attacks.

Anybody know how to find out who the devil this is?

192.168.x.x is a private IP range. It is not and cannot be a computer on the internet. The attack is coming from within your own network. The following ranges do not exist on the real internet.....ever.

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

How does an attack come from my own network?

I have a computer at home and a computer at my office that I use to read my home email.

Odd...last night, I got a Portscan attack while I was disconnected from the internet. What the?

I recently switched my web page server to a Cali address. I wonder if it could be my new server?
