I don't know if karma is related to registration date....... I always thought it was only related to your own karma points and certain status's.

Nope- I know it's "supposed" to be related to a combination of when you joined and how many karma points and posts you have... doesn't seem to quite keep up though. Hit me and i'll tell you how much you shoot for. I'll take a mega-blast, please
