Those are hilarious. Of course having it written in a language that you don't speak gives it pretentious "meaning". My favorite was a guy that was a former military soldier in the US. He tattooed in Chinese the phrase "Blood and Guts" on his arm. Well, the phrase "blood and guts" is an American idiom. It does not translate into Chinese. The guy got a tattoo that literally read "blood and intestines". Not exactly what he wanted.

Anything associated with needles has a general nastiness stigma to it. Most of the "machine" wants to know if you have any contact or past with needle usage. So yeah, its kind of a big deal. You used to be unable to donate blood if you had a tattoo, but now you can be butt funnel power bottom like Hala and still donate.
