What a load of shit... who needs a shrink? you may need a friend, but not a shrink. What can a man who is trained not to care do for you? Write you up a prescription, that's it.

Why do they steer you to professional help? Can't deal with it, can't help yourself, can't try alone?

Counceling is just an excuse to communicate.

Psychologists convince you there is something wrong somewhere just so you can rid yourself of it and convince yourself that you are now happy.

Probation officers, just a second father.

I hate overhearing a talk show, hearing about getting professional help...

Society's excuse not to cope alone.

I agree. The psychologist's only advice is that there's nothing you can do about your problem but accept it...

Couldn't agree with you more. It is even worse now that the shrinks like to hand out drugs like crazy. I've unfortunately had quite a bit of experience with this and it really pisses me off when they advertise anti-depressants on TV as casually as if they are selling cough syrup.
