Mens stuff vs Womens stuff; Re: moving in together

It seems that whenever a guy and some whore move in together/get married, the guy has to get rid of most of his stuff and they wind up keeping most of the chicks furniture, decorations, etc... in most cases it's understandable since most guys have a shitty sence of decoration and cleanliness, not me of course.

Guys that have been in this situation: Aside from crummy furniture and bare breasted posters, was there anything that you really regret getting rid of? Is there anything that you put your foot down on and still have in the house? Was there anything that you did not allow your gf/wife to keep?

Guys that have not yet been in this situation: What do you own (piece of furniture, decoration, etc...) tht you would not allow your woman to talk you into getting rid of if you were moving in together/getting married?

Women, feel free to chime in and add to this thread, you can answer the questions too.

worse yet, when you buy things together and the slut takes the stuff when you split...my fucking house was pretty bare for the last few months, lawn chairs for furniture lol
hoz

I didn't make my now-husband get rid of anything. Of course, he had very very little, lol.

Actually not totally true. He had a nasty old comforter. I didn't make him toss it, we jsut used mine newer, cleaner one. :) We kept his in the linen closet, he finally tossed it himself.

I'm glad we both have similar decorating style. She does like pictures on the walls though, but I don't.

she also likes curtains and I don't. But the rest is similar. We don't fight over it. I decorated our place the way I want and she did'nt have a problem with the decisions, went along with everything.

I would get rid of the Black Leather furniture, all of it (this includes office chairs too).

He can throw everything else (posters, the porn he doesn't want me to know he owns, etc.) in his own personal room (I would get a home that had an extra room where he could be himself and do whatever it is that you guys do).

My hubby hung his dog paintings & beer posters in frames on the walls....I previously didn't have anything hung up, but I like the framed prints now......Also, all the walls were painted white or off-white & he convinced me to paint rooms in color, which I resisted, but now like. He got rid of some of his stuff on his own -- but I refuse to get rid of some pieces of furniture as they were my parent's & they are the only things I have from them.

Oh, I had no problem when he went out & got a Big screen TV.

I'm single again now, but with the past live-in girlfriend, what I missed most was the concept of organization/tidyness in the apartment.

...no less than 12 different hair-product bottles, all uncapped, in and about the tub/shower. Make-up all over the sink and vanity area. ...and clothes and shoes spilling out of the closet and creeping across the bedroom floor.

...I could go on for days.

I have fantastic taste in home furnishings (seriously - yah yah ego ego) but I would live out of moving boxes and have only a bed, linens and towels if I were left to my own devices.

So Uh, no I don't have a lot of stuff.
