Kickboxer 2 had nothing to do with kickboxer 1 right?

one was van damme and the others where sasha mitchell. No reference to van damme in the others but most of the others were in 2 and 3.
I thought van killed that guy at the end of one when he kicked him in the neck and face. But this guy was back in the others.

Tong Po shot Van Damme and dishonoured himself and as to fight Sasha to get his honour back. So it has lots to do with Kickboxer, its a sequel.

Now, Bloodsport 2 didnt have ANYTHING to do with the original Bloodsport.
