Insurance question about insurance.

I have a homeowner's policy claim that was incomplete. I need pics of the damaged structureand receipts of the stolen goods from my home to finish the process. They sent me a letter stating this and said the case would be closed if they did'nt receive them within 15 days.

Question... If they close the case, can they reopen it at some point in the future? Say about 2 months or so or at any point down the line when I get them the stuff they need or is it closed for good?
