Some people reach a certain level of financial/emotional/social attainment in their lives and are satisfied and therefore dont strive any further. Nothing wrong with that, thats what gives our society the different levels of strata and variety. If everyone was an overachiever there would be no one to look down your nose and think to yourself "Yea, Im much better than that loser". Nor would there be anyone to look up to and use for motivation and inspiration to achieve more.
