I can't control my alcohol consumption
that is once I start drinking
I can control how often and/or when I decide to drink

and I've never had issues with the hard drugs
for me there's a strong diminishing returns force with hard drugs

once in a while fine and fun
even in a scenario in which I had loads of disposable income and these recreational drugs were legal
I'd do them very infrequently
