Copying VHS tapes on dual-deck VCR

for some reason, when i rent movies from Blockbuster, i can't copy them. it says "tape is copy protected" I know blockbuster must have a block on their tapes. Is there anyway around this???? This only happens on store-rented tapes. anything else, i have no problems copying. anyone?

Signal Booster

You need a signal booster. Otherwise your copy will suck.
And make sure the little (copy protection) tab is not there. It's just like on a floppy, just a little plastic tabby thing.

I tried removing the tab, it just dosent seem to work. I have a GoVideo dual deck all in one. Does Blockbuster encode the tapes so that you can't copy them?

that must be a newer machine..sorry no way around it...try to find an old one. one of the first dual decks made they will record copyguard tapes.......theres a microchip in the comb filter that screws this up in the new machines....modifications cannot be made as of yet (sorry)RADAR(I'm an electronics technician);)
