Transit police have begun cracking down hard on offenders who continue to violate the ban on consuming food on public transport busses and trains. A 5-year-old boy who was eating a candy bar at a bus stop was set upon by 3 armed transit officers on patrol. After he began squirming and resisting arrest the officers were forced to subdue him with mace and pin him down to the ground with batons in order to put him into handcuffs. His accomplice, a 6-year-old girl who was standing next to him, began crying causing a public disturbance, she had earlier been seen to also be consuming a candy bar at the bust stop. Police were forced to taser her in order to stop her from disturbing the peace.

Under police interrogation the girl later admitting to disposing of a candy bar wrapper in a near by bin, police say she will be charged with obstruction of justice and evidence tampering – further charges are also possible.

Transit Police have rejected claims of heavy handedness and point towards a growing and blatant disregard for Transit rules. People who flagrantly violate public transport rules can expect to have the full force of the law coming down on them a Transit Police spokes person said. The law applies to anyone using the public transport system, whether they are waiting at a bus stop or already on the bus is irrelevant to the fact the spokes person said.

Meanwhile the mother of the 6-year-old girl has complained that her daughter was repeatedly smacked during the police interrogation and not allowed to go to the toilet despite soiling herself. Police have defended their interrogation methods pointing towards a growing crisis of candy consumption amongst young children. A spokes person for the Anti-drug research authority agrees and says that recent studies have found a clear link between candy consumption and drug addiction. Nearly all drug addicts have consumed candy at some stage prior to their drug addiction he said. These candy bars are the crack cocaine of today’s children.

Reverend Lovejoy, from the ministry of the truly saved, has weighed into the debate saying that he long suspected candy manufacturers, public schools and the liberal media to be conspiring in an effort to turn our children into crack addicted homosexuals. The parents of these young hooligans with no regard for the law should be jailed he said.
