Computer Problems: Help

foxxie

New member

My computer doesn't respond On the turn Off button , I have to manually press the power button to shut it down. I know that's not a good thing to shut it down like that. Does anyone know whats the problem? Can it be fix w/o sending it to the technician?

I thought you were female earlier

Foxxie what are you talking about, the start menu "shut down" button? You might have spyware that's freezing up your pc now and then, or you have too many programs running and it's taking too long to respond.

Did'nt know that women can't fall in love with the same sex.

Right click an empty space on your desktop
Click "properties" (this will take you into the display properties)
Click the Screensaver tab
Click the Power tab
Click the Advanced tab
you will see where it says "when i press the power button on my computer"
you then select the setting you want (shutdown, standby, hibernate or do nothing)

if you set it to shutdown , Windows will shut down your computer safely after pressing the power button just once.
