Computer problem - network connections - LAN network cable unplugged...

I think you're problem with hotmail is that you are typing it incorrectly.
It's HOTMAIL, not HOTMALE

:D

If you can connect with Mozilla but not IE, then it is an ActiveX issue that you have.

You installed something that is behaving poorly in IE.

Format c:
Insert FreeBSD 4.9 install floppy and follow the onscreen directions. You'll love me forever.

How do I find out what?

Shouldn't everything be losing at the same time and not over a period.... like ajc.com two months ago and today Hotmail.com

I have run my virus scan and spybot... comes back clean.

Trust me, wrap your network cable around a thick group of electrical cords.

What does this do?

I only have the power cord... no thick group here.

CaptiveX programs are in the C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files
folder. You could delete everything in that folder. Whatever is necessary can/will be redownloaded. (I just tried it)

And you are thinking it is something bad in this folder?
