You made some very interesting points.

Who knows? He might get more back, but at this point fairly unlikely. He has a partial severence & can feel his body, so it's hard to say. I can say, with confidence, that nothing they're doing at his centre will help the process.

This is harsh to say, but at age 50 and his extreme level of injury, CR has about 15 years to live tops.

Stem cells are not the only line of research with hope for the future. There are tonnes of different lines of study being done on SCI.

People should not confuse "walking" by means of electrical stimulating computer chips etc... with a cure. 2 very different things.
