I am a hardgainer, and my uncle told me that I coulduse a product called MD Gainer. He said that it helped him gainweight really well, and that he could keep that weight without losingit. How much of eat should I take, and are there any alternatives?

Checked out the ingredients...sucrose....maltodextrine....if you want to gain fat, then yes - go ahead with this MD Gainer. But if you want to get lean mass, better use a good whey Isolate - it will do much more for clean gains, and will be much healthier.

I agree with @lev buterlov

There isn't any safety concerns with a mass gainer shake or anything like that. It's just the fact that there are much better options available that will give you better results and are much more cost effective.

Mass gainers will help you gain weight for sure but you will probably feel really bloated and gassy while using it. Read the ingredient list. It's full of artificial colors, sweeteners, flavours and preservatives.

It's also not only going to be the weight you want to gain. I have had so many friends who get fat from mass gainer shakes. They are loaded with sugar and poor quality oils.

I personally would get a high quality protein powder and make your own lean mass gain shake. It'll be much cheaper, and provide much more nutrients then any mass gainer.

Buy a high quality blender and blend together the following:
2 scoops of a high quality whey protein isolate
oatmeal
natural almond butter or peanut butter
frozen fruit
banana
ice
chia/flax seeds
spinach/kale

You can easily make a double recipe and drink 1/2 for breakfast and 1/2 after your workout

i actually was thinking about this and as tempting as it is to dirty bulk with a lot of sugar and crap, in the end you only just get fat.

the proper way to gain mass is going to be gaining lean mass over time.. fast gains are not what you want.

You will gain weight for sure but it will not be quality weight. You can make a much cleaner shake on your own. Start off with a pure whey isolate powder as your base. Add things like natural almond butter, oats, fruit, spinach. It is really easy to get a ton of calories in a shake but still have good quality ingredients.
