Are testosterone increasing herbs that work via LH increases working short term only, actually reducing LH long term?
If herbs like Tribilus and Tongkat Ali may stimulate LH secretion via thier role as LHRH agonists on the hypothalmus, maybe that is why we don't see increased testosterone in studies.
Its well known that the best way to reduce T production in men is to administer LHRH (luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone) agonists to first stimulate the hypothalmus with high potency synthetic LHRH, quickly desensitizing it after 7 to 10 days. This causes the body to stop production of any new normal LHRH resulting in cesation of LH production by Pituitary and finally T production in the testies.
