glutamine question

guys , I heard some people use glutamine for recovery mixing it with your protein shake, does it really make any difference? if yes, how many mg to take? thank you.

okay you don't recover by taking glutamine with protein powder, or by eating anything after a workout. protein pwoders doesn't help you recover, that is a myth that started with the supplement industry pushing fart powders during the 80's

you recover after a workout with SLEEP. that is when you grow. i think too many people grew up watching the cartoon popeye and think if they drink a protein shake their muscles magically grow

when you sleep that is when your body turns the lights off and does the maintenance of repairing what you broke from your workout. hope that logic makes sense.. so focus on getting MORE sleep because 99% of us dont' get enough in today's world of electronics. get rid of that Ipad, iphone, Ishit, etc. cause you waste 2 hours every night playing with that shit when you should be sleeping... also no tv/computer in your room either

Don't waste your money. Glutamine can help with gut health but it isn't going to do anything for recovery. What you need is proper sleep and time off between training sessions. Listen to your body.

Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid. Meaning that your body can produce it itself. Glutamine is only needed for people who are undergoing such extreme trauma that their body is incapable of producing enough glutamine itself. Think burn victims, HIV patients etc.

Your money would be much better spent on a BCAA supplement. The amino acid L-leucine directly signals muscle protein synthesis through the mtor pathway.

The board sponsor n2bm.com makes an awesome BCAA supplement called gear. Check that out.
