Fasting Question regarding Whey Protein

ArmaniMark

New member
I have to fast for religious reasons and I need to know if whey protein is considered dairy or not (no meat and dairy for me)....

I would think it is a dairy product but a lot of you avoid dairy products while cutting but still take in whey.

Thanks

Sorry if this is a dumb question

its dairy

but some isolates are very clean with lactose removed etc.

try Ener-G glutamine Peptides ( click on my link below my sig)

its not dairy based and WILL keep you muscle while fasting

good luck

You should consider 'whey protein' to be a dairy product as it is the powdered form of the liquid whey from cheese industry. Whey Isolate will be upwards of 90% protein and whey concentrate will be between 29 to 89% protein. As the protein value decreases, the level of fat and/or lactose increases.
