Citruline malate: an Alternative to Creatine?

I wouldn't say an alternative, more like an addition to. I've tried CM (MAN Body Octane). In doses of 6g+ daily, it works well.

I found this article on it -

I think it's spelled "Citulline Malate" but some sites spell it "Citruline"

As for use with Creatine - I found this bit -
http://www.netrition.com/ergopharm_stamino2_page.html

And for those that really understand the science of it all I found this which was posted in the British Journal of Sports Medicine -
http://bjsm.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/36/4/282
...not an easy read for the layman ;-)

I've never taken it though - bump for anyone that has...

Check out the ergopharm site on it.

Patrick Arnold seems to have hit shit dialed in pretty tight and he's selling it, so that's good enough for me.

He recommends taking it at the same time as creatine. He calls it "aerobic creating" whereas creatine improves your energy for anaerobic respiration.

If I'm not mistaken it's also a Nitric Oxide precursor.

I just started doing 6 grams twice a day along with my Creatine and I'm pretty well convinced it's making a huge difference in my pumps.
