i bought some cheap ass protein at wal-mart the other day, the price was tempting ( $8.99 ) called science labs nutrition Soy protein. wanted to know if anybody else tried this before?

buy online, do a search for supplement sites. I'd recommend the tried and true www.proteinfactory.com

Try and get it in bulk as Valdez said. I get 15kg sacks of raw whey protein concentrate (no flavouring) for £85. When you realise what the manufacturers charge for adding crappy flavourings and packaging it is ridiculous.
