Can peptides be damaged during shipment?

I read that care must be taken when reconstituting peptides, specifically not to spray BA water directly on the crystals or you may damage them.

That raised a question with me. If peptides can be damaged in this manner how fragile are they? If you take notice they appear to be all balled up into a lump when they arrive.

If I am not mistaken peptides are basically amino acid chains. Is the shipping damaging them enough as to make them less effective?

They are fragile but not too fragile that can't make it during shipping. An ice pack is always good to have during shipping.
