Is This Possible

Someone told me that it takes 10 calories to convert one ounce of ice cold water in the stomach to 98.6 degrees so it can be absorbed. Sounds kind of high to me.

If this were true then a person would only have to drink a little over 3 gallons of ice cold water a day to burn a pound of fat.

Any comments.

If you do the math, it takes just under 1 Calorie (kcal) to convert 1 ounce of ice water to body temperature.

That makes more sense. 1 to 1. 30 gallons a day. Possible, not probable. Unless you sit on the pot all day.
