Body fat measurements can be anywhere from 5% to 30% off. If you do get checked make sure you go to the same person each time and that way it will show your progress.

The university near where i live does underwater testing but it's 50 bones... Calipers are free at the university but if they say it's from 3-5 percent off. 3-5 percent is what i hope to change so that doesn't do any good.

go to any university and ask where you can get your body-fat checked BY HYDROSTATIC WEIGHING, they will put you in a tank with water and get your bodyfat measured, this is the most accurate way

You might try calling around town SAF. Most likely NYU would have the facilities. Besides all the young ladies who will see you in your trunks getting measured will be single!

nope its not....DEXA scans are the new gold standard in b.f. testing, hydrostatic weighing is still great but dexa is the best...go to your local university and talk to an exercise metabolism prof, or an exercise physiologist...they'll prolly do one for you at a cost if they have the machine
