What can I take for a headache besides anti-inflammatories?

Since they decrease protein synthesis, I stopped taking them. Now I get nasty headaches during the mid-afternoon. So what can I take to combat this?

Hey bro whne I get a headache I usually take a mtrin they work great.now as far as it effecting gains,I dont think it has and to tell you the truth if it does i doubt it's sufficient protein lose.And to tell you the truth if I have a killer headache I'd rather take some motrin and be ablr to workout that day than not take any and have to lay down in pain all day

Or, ask your doc for a script for Imitrex. Not a pain reliever, changes brain chemistry.....works in 5 minutes, and kills the headache dead. And, it's an injection....love the needles. Downside....it's about 38 bucks a shot. If you have insurance, it'll cover it.
