The half life of T-3 is 2 days, right?
Why is this not typically dosed EOD? Otherwise it will build up if taken in daily doses? Or is ALL the T-3 "consumed" by the thyroid in 24 hours?
I actually have read TWICE daily dosages are best (splitting daily dosage).
I am sure there is an answer, but a 2 day half life and ED or TD doses don't make sense at first read.
It just seems if only HALF the hormone is released in 2 days, that is all that is AVAILABLE for the thyroid to use. Otherwise, why talk about half life at all.
Sites say T-4 which has a 7 day half life, takes much longer to reach desired levels. Thus my questions.
