Sheeeeet, tore my pec last night!!!!

Sheeeeet, tore my pec last night!!!! PICS INSIDE

Just when I was getting into a good solid grove again, I tear my pec last night. Was progressing thru my flat bench workout. Warm up with 135, then to 185, then to 225. Next set was to be 265x8. First rep went down paused for a sec or two, then pushed up, no problems, no pain. Second rep I lowered the weight to my chest, paused, pushed maybe 1/2in and wham weight just falls and I feel my pec tear. It was just dead, holy crap did it scare the crap out of me. Thank god there were a few big guys close by that pulled the weight off of me.

It was too late(7pm) to go to a doctors office, so I drove across the street to the urgent care office and after waiting 2hrs finally got to see the doc. What a horrible doc. He didnt even ask me to raise my shirt. He just felt around til i told him where the pain was. After about 2 minutes of him pressing down on different places on my chest he says, yep you probably pulled something or strained a muscle. Here is a script for the pain and some muscle relaxers. Just go home and ice it down, no heat for at least 72hrs. That was it!!! I didnt even see the damage until i got home and finally got my shirt off. Here are the pics

Anyone feel it might benefit me to try some HGH during the coming months of rehab?

Bro go asap to get an MRI to assess the true damage.
If its a minir tear then it will heal all the way

if it is completely detached get surgery ASAP even if it costs you
 
Bro, I feel for you. Man alive that looks painful. Are you sure its a pec tear and not a shoulder tear? HGH definitely wouldn't hurt at asbout 2iu's a day. Hope you have a speedy recovery bro.

I have an appt. schedueled with a specialist at a sports medicine clininc on Wed. It was the soonest appt. available. I chose to go to the doc in a box last night cause i knew I was going to need something for the pain. That was about all it was good for. I have spent most of last night and today researching the options. If surgery is needed i'm going to take it ASAP. I hope there are no underlying tendons that got torn or detached too.

I've got pain meds and muscle relaxers so right now the pain is tolerable, but damn that 2hr wait at the doc in a box was full of pain. Gonna spend most of the rest of the day iceing it on and off.

Yes not doubt its a pec tear, i have no pain in the shoulder what so ever. Its mainly the lower part of the pec thats swolen and of course the upper arm.
 
Better push for surgery if it s serious tear

screw those idiots if they say no too.

I have seen guys with BI tears that could have easily been fixed but one asshat doc said no.

I hope it is not a serious tear, but if it is and they suggest surgery, I am all for it. The sooner the better.
 
best of luck, you will be back in no time:)

this is a time where once the surgery is donestart running out side or doing cardio daily, that will hold you over till you can start training again.

Sorry to hear about that buddy. The same shit happen to me 5 years ago but it was my right pec and I had the same swelling. I did not go to the Dr. for mine. It healed back up but now I have a indentation between my pec and delt. I no longer flat bench only incline. Are you by chance using fucking creatine? that was the reason for my pec tearing. Fuck that shit.
