Receptors: Different or All the Same???

Folx,

I'd like you to weigh-in on something.
Do different drugs (say, test vs. deca)
do their work through different receptors?
Or do they all work through one type of
receptor, and thus when your receptors
down regulate (if I'm using the term
correctly) on test that means they
won't respond to deca?

Thanx muchly,
DS

Receptors do not down regulate. They will actually increase with repeated exogenous introduction of androgens. The decrease in results from the same dossage pheneomenon is due to the fact that the liver becomes much more efficient at metabolising your gear much like someone who never drinks will get a lot more drunk than an alcoholic with the same amount of alcohol.
There is one androgen receptor. The various meds just reach this receptor by the actions of different enzymes.

That's right. There is the Androgen Receptor which all AS's have to bind to, but some do it better than others.
