Nizoral shampoo for hair loss?

I have read some posts about this on this board and thought it was prescription only but I just saw some at my local supermarket is this shampoo the same just now it's OTC? TIA

As far as I know 1% is OTC in US but 2% is not. However, 2% is legal in Canada. As for it's effectivness on hair loss, thats debaitable. I did use it along with Nioxin Shampoo/Conditioner when Accutane thinned my hair. After months of use my hair was back to normal. I can't attribute to the products completely but I am sure they had something positive to do with it. Make sure when using Nizoral, you only use it 3-4 times a week as it will dry out your scalp.

You can buy the 2% online at several places. You need to use the 2% for hairloss.
