Instant whole grain brown rice still med-GI?

Particularly Uncle Ben's? Anyone know? I know this will get moved, but I put it in the diet forum, and you know how that story ends.

the GI is higher than regular long grain brown because it is precooked, then cut and loses it's outer coating. but those instant brown rice bags are so easy and good.

instant rice has a higher GI for sure, but the longer you cook it the higher it goes. So if your going to go with instant just be sure to under cook it a bit, this will help keep the GI on the low side and besides, who likes mushy rice anyway? Better yet, just make up a ton of rice on sunday evening and store it in the fridge for use through out the week, thats what i do anyway.

get a vacumn food saver ,you can pre cook meals & store for several weeks, they taste like you just cooked them ,i don't know what i would do without mine!
