Information overload; "bump"?

Just wanted to thank you guys for this site. I have been thinking about crossing over to the dark side and have been reading anything I can get my hands on. My brain is fried. I didn't think this could be so complex.

Finally, what the fuck is "bump"? I see it used everywhere. Is it like "fuck" and have 25 meanings.

just a thing everyone says when sending a message back up to the top. if a post is good and falls down the paqge you bump it up again.
