infection from injecting steroids question

Hey guys,
besides keeping the injection site clean , what precautions should you take before injecting? my other question is if There are sites that have a higher risk of infection than others, thank you.

infections are very rare with injections. people are too paranoid, think of all the crack addicts who inject with used needles and never get infections, yet we worry about injecting steroids?

99% of the time people think they got an infection when it really was just tissue irritation or an allergic reaction

the best way to prevent infection is obviously being clean but also the gear you are using being clean. if your source is making gear out of his toilet then there is a good chance that will be some dirty ass gear http://www.evolutionary.org/forums/s...-ii-37624.html << looking for a legit source?

Truthfully, it's pretty simple. The most important thing is keeping everything sanitary.
The following items are needed to do the injection:
70% rubbing alcohol or 99% isopropyl alcohol
cotton balls
a syringe (3mL is the most common)
a withdrawing tip (a 18 or 20 gauge is the most common)
a injecting tip (a 23 or 25 gauge 1' or 1.5' is recommended)

Just make sure to wipe the injection site prior to injecting, wipe the tops of the vials, do not let the needles touch anything, and inject. Never had any issues.

1. Clean with alcohol swab the injection site
2. Use a sterile needle & syringe
3. Swab after injection again
4. Put a plaster on it
