How do they measure body fat % with calipers without body weight

The trainers at the gym could not explain this to me. Say I weigh 200 lbs and get a body fat test done. My skin fold is x cm. I do a crazy fina, ox whatever cycle and put on 25lbs of lbm but dont lose or gain any fat. My skin fold should be the same (because my fat amount did not change) but I now have 25 more pounds of lbm in the equation. With the same skin fold measurements they would give me the same body fat % even though I would be clearly leaner percentage wise at 225. Anyone?

well it seems that you were tested by an idiot...Bodyweight has to be in the equation...

I know....she could not give me answer...she was a certified whatever and just said you use this "formula". I asked three other trainers there and they said there is a special way of figuring out. At least one had the decency to say that he does not know. Any trainers out there can give me a good answer? Thanks
