Glute injection, what happened

So I injected the painfull prop last night into the glute, but I used a small pin as I've always done(low fat and I've done this before with no problem). I injected and everything went smoth. 3 hour later an area about 4" above the inj. area started to hurt. It's the left side of the lower back that right now is swollen and very painfull. I mean the area where I injected doesn't hurt, but above this area it hurts like a bitch. It' slike injecting into your biceps and pain appears in your foot, not quite but you understand right. Did I massage tha area too well and therefor moved the oil insite so the pain started above the area or what?

The prop probably dispersed throughout the muscle therefore causing pain away from the injection site.
