GHB and it's place in BB

Well I think GHB's place in bodybuilding is for an alcohol alternative and the fact that there are no calories and very little to no hang over when used in small doseses . But I don't believe in abusing it and I don't believe in taking it for GH increases. Can someone tell me why 1.4 butanediol is so much harder on your body ?

1.4 butanediol is broken down by the body and converted into GHB therefore its harder on the system.
