Detecting problems with the Liver, Kidney or Prostate!

I have seen several threads about people having problems with their internal organs and I was wondering HOW would one know if there is a problem?? Other than getting bloodwork done? Would there be early warning signs? Pain? Anything? What the hell does Liver Pain feel like? Prostate? How would i know it isnt indegestion or heart burn or something? what other signs might there be?
