About three-quarters of respondents agreed that there should be a requirement to deposit patient-level trial data, with identifying information removed, into repositories and to share them with individual researchers.BMJ said that, beginning in January, it would require trial investigators "to make their data available on reasonable request" as a condition of publication."It is no longer possible to pretend that a report of a clinical trial is sufficient to allow full independent scrutiny of the results," journal officials said.
